Frequently asked questions.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

People curious about therapy may be asking after months—or years—of trying to manage things on their own: Do I really need therapy? From experience, therapy isn’t just for crisis. It’s for anyone wanting change. Especially those who feel overwhelmed, trapped, or tired of certain patterns showing up over and over again. Some see it as a maintenance for their emotional and mental wellbeing, so they have the support and inner strength for when challenges occur.

Eileen’s work begins with the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Her integrative, humanistic approach isn’t about diagnosis first—it’s about understanding your experience in all its complexity. Maybe it’s anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere or grief that lingers. Therapy is a place to begin untangling those threads.

What happens during a therapy session?

With Eileen, therapy is a co-created space, where each session is tailored to you and your current situation that day. Maybe that means learning how to manage anxious thoughts using tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Maybe it’s going deeper, exploring childhood dynamics or unconscious patterns shaped by trauma or experience.

Eileen builds a therapeutic framework that values the wisdom of the body and emotional intelligence, shaped by her background in psychology, business, sociology, and her own lived experiences across the US, UK, and Europe. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. You just need to show up. She’ll meet you where you are.

How long does therapy take?

There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline when it comes to therapy—and that’s a good thing. For some people, a few sessions are enough to get clarity on a specific issue. For others, therapy becomes a longer-term process of self-discovery and change.

Eileen doesn’t rush a “result”. Instead, she works collaboratively with you to explore what you need and what pace feels right. Weekly sessions are the most recommended to create consistency and stability in the process. Some clients come in to deal with immediate challenges—burnout, relationship stress, performance anxiety. Others stay because the work becomes a space to reconnect with themselves, explore identity, or understand what’s been driving certain behaviours for years.

In whatever time is available, Eileen’s goal is to help you discover your “true self”—less burdened, more clear, and more at peace with who you are and where you’re going.
